RE Smith Construction was founded in Joplin, MO in 1952 as a small carpentry and residential construction company. What began there has grown into one of the leading general contractors in the Four-State Area.
For over 70 years, we've built commercial facilities across Southwest Missouri as a family owned and operated business. Through changing markets and building codes, we're here to build up our communities.

RE Smith Construction has been a multiple-time finalist for the Associated General Contractors' Project of the Year, including recognition for the Joplin Public Library and the Employer Advantage Remodel. In 2014, Firehouse Magazine recognized one of our fire station projects with a Firehouse Station Design Award.
